My Story

My professional experience spans over 20 years in Human Resources including Employee Relations, Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Talent Development, and general oversight of the Human Resources function. I am currently the head of Human Resources (HR Dept of 1) for a multi-unit Financial Services company. I believe in contributing to the business partnership through innovative recommendations, providing executable, candid, and empathetic feedback aligned with the company’s strategy in order to effectively impact the bottom line.

 

In my career, I’ve served in various roles including private organizations and larger, publicly traded companies. I have been part of larger HR teams and small HR teams. My goal is to share why I have chosen to lead an HR Dept of 1 and how a professional in this role can be a strategic ally contributing to the success of their organization, regardless of size.

 

My personal business philosophy is “Get There with You”. In collaborating with others, I seek solutions that may be creative, but are legally and ethically minded. I define “Get There with You” through three main actions:

  • Be consistent

  • Stay Informed

  • Think of Others

 

Topics covered will be based on the “Get There with You” philosophy and the three main actions listed above. My hope is that what I share is applicable, beneficial, encouraging, sometimes funny, and overall helpful.
